Ivy Beech was born and raised in Los Angeles. Throughout middle & high school, she was part of the Los Angeles Children's Chorus & sang professionally with the LA Philharmonic, LA Master Chorale, and LA Opera. She was a principal performer & sang the Shepherd's Solo in LA Opera's production of TOSCA directed by Placido Domingo & Kent Nagano when she was in High School. Ivy took an acting class her sophomore year and fell in love with it and was very active in a plays and musicals for the duration of her time at Notre Dame High School & Hamilton Music Academy.
She earned a BFA in Acting after studying at the University of Minnesota/Guthrie BFA Actor Training Program and in London.
At the Guthrie Theater, Ivy studied Shakespeare, Shaw, Chekhov, movement/dancing, voice/singing, clowning, circus, dialects, play analysis, improv, speech, first folio, and much more under working artists at the Guthrie.
In London, she worked with such living legends as John Barton and Barbara Houseman and studied at Shakespeare's Globe Theater, RADA (Royal Academy of Dramatic Art), LISPA (London International School of Performing Art), among others.
Ivy has been working professionally since her junior year of college when she was cast in Pride & Prejudice at the Guthrie Theater with Sally Wingert & MAD MEN's Vincent Kartheiser and directed by Artistic Director, Joe Dowling.
Since then, Ivy has completed her BFA and moved back to Los Angeles where she has been working as an actor & modeling. She recently understudied Stage Kiss at the Geffen Playhouse.
Ivy just finished filming 2 different short films this Spring & Summer! More to come soon!
Ivy won a Scenie Award for Outstanding Ensemble in a Play for her work in CAT'S PAW at Actors Co-op. The Award was given by Steven Standley
Ivy did voiceover work for a new Film Independent film, THEY CHARGE FOR THE SUN. The film premiered at the LA Film Festival.
Ivy will understudy 2 different roles (2 actors, 4 characters) in the Geffen Playhouse production of STAGE KISS directed by Bart DeLorenzo.
Ivy won a Scenie Award for Outstanding Actress in a Featured Role for her work in Pride & Prejudice. The Award was given by Steven Stanley!
Ivy has begun UCB 201 improv classes at the Upright Citizen's Brigade.
Ivy will be participating in the play reading of "SCOTLAND ROAD" at the Epiphany Space on September 25th.
Ivy is proud to join the cast of THE NAKED TRUTH, a new comedy webseries.

Ivy is participating in a staged reading of BERNICE directed by Kimi Walker on June 2nd!
Ivy is excited to be part of a staged reading of a new screenplay at the Sloan Film Summit (with Film Independent) at Grammy Center. This exciting event will directly follow a keynote speech by House of Cards creator Beau Willimon.
